Wine Find of the Week

In Napa Valley there are some great retail wine establishments.

One is 750 Wines in St Helena  run by a great couple, David and Monica Stevens. I met them at their old place, Acme Wines...which I loved. IF you love California Cabs…I mean, love enough to taste and collect ones you have NEVER heard of…visit them next time you are in St. Helena.

Years ago David introduced me to Behrens Family Winery…to my great joy and financial ruin. They own no vineyards…instead, they buy from the great ones all over wine country…and Les Behrens is a MASTER and crazed blender of wines.

The Knockout is a 90% Cab/105 Petite Sirah blend…you won't find that anywhere. I love the licorice and soft crème de cassis finish…no kidding! NOT cheap...but as tasty as Cal Cabs I have tasted for 2X the price

Ask for Robin and taste these when you get to Napa Valley…tell her Toby and Marjorie sent ya!
