America’s Rebirth vs. Fiscal Cliff BS
While our noble elected officials play kamikaze pilots running low on fuel, I’d like to present the REAL issues at hand for the future solvency of America.
These are my talking points from a mini-speaking tour I did after the election courtesy of Murphy Oil. I’ll post the video of my presentation at Southern Arkansas University as soon as we get it.
Short version:
1) Everyone in Washington KNOWS the real problems. They are just congenitally afraid of telling The Electorate the hard solutions.
2) Everyone is Guilty: Politicians and Electorate refuse to acknowledge its 2013 and not 1965 or 1981. We have NOT moved financial, economic & actuarial assumptions to 21st century demographics.
3) We worry about the WRONG problems and not the REAL problems. You can’t solve the real problem IF you don’t define the problems accurately.
4) The REAL tipping point for the US Economy Debt Bomb is in 2020, UNLESS we average 4% GDP growth 2014-2020 (PS in the Internet BOOM 1994-2000 we averaged 3.2%).
5) Both two parties are metabolically pre-disposed to spending. You Can’t Cure DNA; we have a SPENDING problem AND a imbalanced tax revenue problem AND a special interest tax deductions problem.
6) We suffer from a national cognitive dissonance—we want more entitlements and call for spending cuts at the same time.
