Today, GlyEco has announced that in an effort to accelerate Type 1 recycled glycol, GLYE has retained industry veteran Mike Sommer as a consultant. Mr. Sommer's primary focus will be on securing additional feedstock for GLYE's Type 1 glycol recycling operations. For 24 years, Mr. Sommer held various roles at Safety-Kleen, which led to him becoming Senior Vice President of Refinery Sales and creating annual sales of more than $500 million and 125 million outbound gallons.
