The Wall Street Journal reports that Air pollution from coal combustion likely cut life expectancy in parts of China by more than five years during the 1990s, a study has found, adding weight to increasing public demands for Beijing to clean up the environment.

Cleaning the killer air means replacing coal with nuclear power plants. EACH of the 54 nuclear power plants under construction in China requires 10,000 tons of super pure high grade graphite to build and 14,000 tons each YEAR to run the nuclear power plants.

Earlier last month, Western Graphite set up a list of objectives they plan on accomplishing. They have already completed 4 of those objectives. The latest triumph from WSGP comes out of British Columbia, where geological consultant Paul Gray has completed reconnaissance, rock sampling and compilation work program on the Pure Flake Graphite Mine. With the surveying finished, WSGP has officially completed phase I and can move on to complete the fifth objective with results by the end of July.

Western Graphite announced they are in negotiations to add a new 2000 acre FULLY producing graphite mine to their operations.

The new mine is a fully producing graphite “Khara Mine” and in the same area as the WSGP's Amorf property in Southern Turkey.

The BIG plan here? USE the cash flow from this operation to kick-start production of high-quality big flake carbon graphite in their British Columbia project. This deal also potentially triples WSGP's graphite mining operations in the region.
